# Punto a stelo

Il punto Stem forma una linea simile a una corda ed è uno dei[ punti base del ricamo a mano](https://practicalembroidery.eu/it/i-migliori-punti-di-ricamo-la-top-10-dei-punti-base-del-ricamo-a-mano-imparateli-tutti-per-iniziare-a-ricamare/).

Questo punto è molto utilizzato nel ricamo moderno in superficie perché è decorativo e versatile. Questo punto è utile per contorni, curve, onde o piccoli cerchi. Inoltre, il punto a gambo funziona bene come contorno per il punto di raso. Inoltre, si può utilizzare anche per il ripieno.

I punti stelo possono essere lavorati sia con il metodo della cucitura che con quello della cucitura.

## Altri nomi del punto stelo

A volte il punto gambo è chiamato anche punto Crewel o punto Stalk (gambo). Inoltre, il punto contorno e il punto gambo sono due nomi che spesso utilizziamo in modo intercambiabile. Questi due punti si assomigliano molto, ma non sono la stessa cosa.

## Punto a gambo o punto contorno?

La differenza principale è la posizione del filo di lavoro durante la realizzazione del ricamo. Mentre si lavora il [punto Outline](https://practicalembroidery.eu/it/punto-di-ricamo-outline/) da sinistra a destra, tenere sempre il filo di lavoro sopra la linea di cucitura. Quando si ricama un punto Stem da sinistra a destra, tenere il filo di lavoro sotto la linea di cucitura.

L’altra differenza che si può notare è la direzione in cui viene attorcigliata la “corda” del punto. Per questo motivo, a volte è preferibile utilizzare il punto Stem e a volte il punto Outline. Se non siete sicuri di quale punto faccia una curva più bella e sia più adatto al vostro disegno, provate a realizzare la stessa linea curva con entrambi e vedete quale vi piace di più.

Questo punto universale è utilizzato nei ricami Whitework, Redwork, Stumpwork, Crewel e in altri tipi di ricamo a mano. Nel moderno ricamo di superficie, lo utilizziamo per:

## Come ricamare il punto stelo

Tutorial passo dopo passo per il ricamo a mano

### Disposizioni

1\. Porta l’ago sulla superficie del tessuto alla base dell’area di cucitura e fai passare il filo.

2\. Fare un punto nella direzione della cucitura.

4\. Portare l’ago in superficie a metà del punto iniziale tenendo l’anello a destra.

6\. Fai un altro punto nella stessa direzione e dimensione del primo. Lascia il loop aperto.
