Half Chevron Stitch
Half Chevron Stitch is a variation of the Chevron stitch where one side has a traditional Chevron Stitch leg, and the other has vertical peaks. This stitch is simple yet versatile. You can create various decorative patterns by simply positioning the stitches in various ways – back to back, stacking the rows and overlapping, turning them on the side, or forming the ornaments by placing detached stitches in a square.
Applications of the Stitch
Half Chevron stitch is a beautiful option for borders, outlines, and filling. It is widely used in Crazy Quilting and counted thread embroidery. The vast possibilities of positioning the stitches in different ways allow you to create original repetitive patterns for filling. To make the designs even more outstanding, you can add beads or other decorative stitches in the middle of the Half Chevron stitches.
Half Chevron stitch works great on straight lines and curves, so you can use it to decorate the hems and necklines of garments.
