Knotted Cable Chain Stitch
Knotted Cable Chain Stitch is a decorative variation of the Cable Chain Stitch from the Chain stitch family. A Coral Stitch is added to make a Cable Chain stitch embroidery more textural and prominent.

How to embroider Knotted Cable Chain Stitch
Step-by-step hand embroidery tutorial
Instructions
1. Mark the line and take the needle up on the right end of it.
2. Make a tiny stitch to the left and push the needle to the fabric above the line.
3. Take the needle up under the line, inside the loop of the working thread.
4. Pull the working thread from the back side of the fabric to tighten to loop around the needle.
5. Pull the thread to the surface through the tightened loop. Pass the needle under the straight stitch to the right. Be careful not to pierce the fabric of the thread.
6. Take the needle down below the knot you just made. Leave the loop of the thread open.
7. Bring the needle on the line inside the loop to form a chain.
8. Pull the thread to tighten the loop. Make a stitch to the felt above the line. Repeat steps 2-8 to form the second chain.
9. When the line is complete, move the needle to the back of the fabric and secure the thread.
