Magic Chain Stitch
Magic Chain Stitch is a variation of the Chain stitch, embroidered with two threads of different colors simultaneously. This technique enables embroidering a chain where every second stitch is of a different color.
Other names of the stitch
The alternative names of this hand embroidery technique are Two-color Chain stitch, Chequered Chain stitch, Alternating Chain stitch, and Magic stitch.
Applications of the Magic Stitch
Like the basic Chain Stitch, the Magic Chain Stitch is an excellent option for borders, outlines, or lettering. Two colors of the stitch add that extra flair and allow you to play with the design.
