Der Schlupfstich ist eine [Handnähtechnik](https://practicalembroidery.eu/de/stiche-zum-naehen/), die zum Sichern und Versäubern von Säumen verwendet wird. Das Hauptmerkmal dieser Technik ist, dass sie einen sicheren, aber unsichtbaren Saum erzeugt.

Das Absteppen erfordert ein wenig Erfahrung und Geduld, aber wenn du diese Technik mit einem Faden in einer ähnlichen Farbe wie der Stoff verwendest, wird der Saum wirklich unsichtbar, ordentlich, aber auch stark und sicher. Das Absteppen ist eine traditionelle Methode zur Veredelung von Kleidungsstücken, die seit Jahrhunderten angewandt wird und auch heute noch von modernen Näherinnen verwendet wird, um Kleidungsstücke zu verschönern und ihnen ein handwerkliches Finish zu verleihen.

Die besten Ergebnisse erzielst du mit einer kleinen Nadel und einem dünnen Faden in der gleichen Farbe wie der Stoff. Ich habe einen blauen Faden auf weißem Leinen verwendet, damit die Anleitung leichter zu verstehen ist.

## Haltepunkt-Anwendungen

Der Schlupfstich wird beim Handnähen verwendet, um Kleidungsstücke zu säumen, Paspeln an der Innenseite von Armausschnitten anzubringen, Schrägband abzuschließen oder Nähte wie Kragen und Gürtel zu schließen.

## Wie man einen Durchstich macht

Schritt-für-Schritt-Anleitungen zum Nähen mit der Hand

1\. falte die Kante des Stoffes zweimal, so dass eine doppelte Falzkante entsteht. Du kannst die Kante feststecken oder heften, vor allem wenn sie lang ist und der Stoff die Falte nicht gut hält.

2\. Verknote den Faden und beginne zu nähen, wobei du den Knoten in der Randfalte versteckst.

4\. Mache nun einen langen Stich auf der Innenseite der gefalteten Kante. Dieser Stich hat eine Größe von etwa 1 cm (~0,4 Zoll).

5\. Ziehe den Faden und mache einen weiteren kleinen Stich auf dem Hauptstoff.

6\. Steche dann mit einem langen Stich in die Innenseite der Falte.

7\. Fahre mit dem Nähen fort, indem du abwechselnd kleine Stiche auf der Innenseite des Stoffes und lange Stiche auf der Innenseite der Falte machst. Achte darauf, dass du eine konstante Spannung hältst. Denke daran, dass sich die Kante kräuselt, wenn du zu stark ziehst, und dass sich die Kante mit der Zeit lockert, wenn die Spannung zu gering ist.

8\. Wenn du den Rand ganz umgenäht hast, verknote das Ende des Fadens und verstecke es in der Falte.
