Hand Stitching is Slow โ€“ And I Like It! ๐Ÿชก๐Ÿ’–

The Healing Power of Slow Stitching ๐Ÿงตโœจ

Hi, Reader,

Iโ€™m an avid stitcher and like to embroider a lot, but I also knit, crochet, sew, and do many other textile crafts. After learning so many different techniques, I find that hand embroidery is the slowest of them all.

And I like it! Itโ€™s so meditative and relaxing.

According to science, hand embroidery isnโ€™t just a craftโ€”itโ€™s a form of mindful meditation. The rhythmic motion of needle and thread calms the mind, reduces stress, and encourages creativity. It helps us focus on the present moment, allowing worries to fade into the background.

More about hand embroidery and its benefits:

So, the next time you pick up your hoop and thread, do not try to hurry it!

Take a deep breath and embrace the beauty of slowness. Your mind (and your heart) will thank you for it.
